Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Moringa (or Malunggay) also found here in the Philippines? I just had to ask since the opening statement said that it's from the Himalayan Mountains. :)

To Adele Yuboco.....yes, Moringa is Malunggay. The most widely cultivated species is Moringa oleifera, a multipurpose tree native to the foothills of the Himalayas in northwestern India.

I have heard about the great benefits of Moringa. I have also seen some beauty products using this as an ingredient. I also heard that it helps you produce more milk when you're nursing.

I was gonna ask you if Moringa and Malunggay are the same :)
I've heard of its benefits. I remember my grandmother asking her helpers to make tinola with lots of malunggay each time a female member of the family gives birth - said it's good for moms and their babies. I guess that's the calcium part ( benefit ) that you mentioned.

No wonder why my parents kept insisting that I should eat this when I was younger. Dad was right! There are a lot of vitamins and benefits we can get from this. How I wished I learned to eat these before. It's quite hard to eat them now eh. :(
